In the BSVER ASCon XXIV 2018, two oral presenters and one poster presenter have been awarded “BSVER Young Scientist Best Presentation Award 2018” and “Best Poster Award” respectively.
Dr. Md. Golzar Hossain, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology and Hygiene, Bangladesh Agricultural University, as one of the Best Oral Presentation Awards, presented on the topic entitled- Functional significance of promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML) on Kaposi’s sarcoma associated Herpesvirus lytic replication. The other oral presentation awardee Nurjahan Yasmin Runa, an MS student at Sylhet Agricultural University presented on the topic entitled- Effect of dietary supplementation of bacteriophage in broiler chicken for growth performance, blood characteristics and colonization of Salmonella and E. coli.
On the other hand, Anita Rani Dey, a PhD student at the Department of Parasitology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, has been awarded “Best Poster Presentation Award 2018”. She presented her poster on the topic entitled- Multiple anthelmintic resistance in gastrointestinal nematodes of sheep and goats in Bangladesh.
